PathGo ver.1.2 - User Guide
===============================

A tray-resident tool that opens any file path or URL you have
copied to the clipboard with a single click.

[System Requirements]

  Windows 11

[Getting Started]

  Double-click PathGo.exe.
When the icon appears in the system tray, the app is running.

[How to Use]

  1. Copy a path or URL to the clipboard.
  2. Left-click the PathGo icon in the system tray or press registered hot key.

  · Folder / file path → Opens in Explorer or the associated app
  · http:// / https:// → Opens in the default browser

[Hotkey]

You can use a hotkey to run the same action as left-clicking
  the tray icon.

  1. Right-click the tray icon → select "Settings".
  2. Press a modifier key such as Ctrl / Shift / Alt together
     with another key.
  3. Confirm the displayed key combination and select "OK".

After that, copy a path or URL to the clipboard and press the
  registered hotkey to open it.

To clear the hotkey, open "Settings" and select "Cancel".

[Excluded Strings]

You can remove specific strings (by partial match) from the
clipboard text before it is opened.

  1. Right-click the tray icon → select "Settings".
  2. In the "Excluded strings" box, enter one string per line.
  3. Select "OK" (or "Cancel") to confirm.

For example, registering a prefix like "file:///" as an excluded
string will strip it before the remaining text is opened as a path.

[Supported Path Formats]

  C:\Users\foo\Documents
  \\server\share\dir
"C:\path with spaces" (surrounding quotes are stripped automatically)

[Quit]

Right-click the tray icon → select "Exit"

[Uninstall]

  1. Quit PathGo.
  2. Delete PathGo.exe, or delete the extracted folder.
  3. Delete the settings file:

     %AppData%\PathGo\config.json

PathGo does not register itself in the registry, install a
service, or add a startup entry. If you manually added a startup
shortcut, delete that shortcut as well.
